2006 Turkey Trot
This year at the Athens Turkey Trot, the whole Reed Family showed up. Ol' Jim, Traci, Anna and Lacy all competed. Ol' Jim placed 2nd, Anna also placed 2nd and Lacy placed 1st in their respective age divisons. The Reed Family also brought home a turkey with Traci winning a smoked turkey in the drawing. This year's Turkey Trot was a great success!

Hog, Varmint & Fishing Fun Weekends
The Hog, Varmint & Fishing Fun Weekends begin in February on the 16th,17th & 18th, 2007 with a few spots left. Also there are still plenty of spots left for the March 9th,10th, & 11th hunts.
The full cost for the hunts is $200 (2 nights/evenings) per person (spouses and supervised youth; under the age of 16; come at no additional charge), beginning Friday evening and lasting though Sunday morning. A $50 deposit reserves a spot.

The average annual rainfall in Navarro County, where the Reed Family Ranch is located, is about 39.5" a year . We've received about 26.1 " during the first 11 months of the year (from Jan'06-Nov'06). That's about 9.8 " BELOW the average rainfall for the year.

Group Duck Hunts
There are still plenty of spots for the January 12th, 2007 group duck hunt. A second group duck hunt is scheduled for Saturday, January 27th. The group hunt is $150 and a morning hunt the following day can be added for an additional $50. If interested please contact Ol'Jim for more information.
