Hunting Club Memberships - Annual Invitations!

January is the month that annual invitations are issued for 2006-07 hunting access on the Reed Ranch. We're looking forward to visiting more with everybody that's making contact with us about signing up! We have a great club membership, lots of fun times, and great huntin'. We sure are proud of everbody! This is the year that olJim will be turning over the reins of the hunting club to son JimmyG and son-in-law JimmyK. They're gonna do a great job!

If you've received an email confirming that you've been added to our contact list, you'll be receiving an email in the next couple of weeks or so - asking whether you're still interested in something or whether you've already found something else. If you're still interested, JimmyG and JimmyK will be matching any available spots we have, with new club member invitations.

If you've not received a confirmation email that you've been added to the list, feel free to remind us of your interest, ok? Confirmation emails can be sent to olJim at oljim@reedfamilyranch.com. Thanks!

Remember, if all the full hunting club memberships have been taken, there's still a partial club membership available!

10 ac Reed Ranch Fishing Lake Renovations!
Two docks have recently been added to our 10 bass lake! One dock - which also has a boat ramp spot - is on the south side of the lake and the other has been built on the east side of the lake on the dam. The east side dock will also support the pump that'll be used to prime the gravity-flow water distribution system. Gonna have lots of good use for these two docks.

Check out the photo's taken as they were being built! We shore are proud of 'em!

Reed Ranch Rain Report!

Is It Raining Yet?

The average rainfall in Navarro County, where the Reed Family Ranch is located, is about 39.5". This year, thru the end of November, we've received 24.1". That's about 8.4" under the average of what we oughta be receiving for the year! Things are mighty dry right now, and it's certainly having an effect on the way we manage things. Ducks don't like this at all! Here's some rainfall records for you to take a look at - going back to the awful rainfall accumulation of '99. If it don't rain at least 2.7" before the end of the year, we'll have the worse rainfall record since 1999!

The average for the 6 year period - amongst the 1999 and 2004 years shown below, was 39.2".

1999 - 26.7"
2000 - 46.0"
2001 - 42.7"
2002 - 38.0"
2003 - 27.4"
2004 - 54.2
2005 - thru the end Nov - 24.1 (8.4" under average for the year)
