Wishing You All The Best For 2009!
From The Reed Family Ranch
The Reed Family Ranch wants to wish everybody all our best for a great 2009! We think it's gonna be a good 'un!
Here's hoping that everybody had a healthy and fun holiday season in 2008 - and that your 2009 will be the best year ever!
2009-10 Hunting Club Membership: Expecting Another Great Year! January 31st marks the end of the 2008-09 hunting club membership year. Available spots are being filled now for the 2009-10 year!
Hunting club membership spots are filled from a list that's maintained for use in making contact with everybody that's expressed an interest in joining the Reed Family Ranch hunting club.
During the end of December - and the first part of January - everybody on this list is normally contacted about whether they're still interested in a club membership spot. Also, during this time, current club members were contacted about whether they plan on coming back for another year.
The 2009-10 hunting club membership includes year-round access to the ranch for club members - and also, new arrangements have been implemented for club member guests for hog and varmint hunting.
Arrangements for membership in the hunting club can be found at Reed Family Ranch Hunting Club! Questions about club membership can be sent to OlJim at oljim@reedfamilyranch.com .
We sure are looking forward to the 2009-10 year - oughta be another good 'un!
Hunting Club Report - Reed Family Ranch Deer Season!
We're now in our last week of deer season on the Reed Family Ranch. Our gun season began on September 27th and lasts through January 31st. As of the date for the scheduling of this newsletter, there's been a reported total of six trophy buck, eleven doe, twenty-six hogs, and two coyote taken by hunting club members and guests - with lots more being spotted! No cull bucks have been taken so far this year. The ranch received thirty-three TPWD doe permits for this season.
After the end of January, the hunting club will move into hog and varmint hunting full-force! We sure are proud of our hunting club - it's bout the best around!
Check out the photos and game taken so far this club membership year!

Be On the Lookout! Reed Ranch Critter, You've Been Spotted! The chubby BEAVER is slow and clumsy on land, waddling along at the mercy of its predators. However, in water it becomes a sleek, stream-lined swimmer that can travel at five or six miles an hour.
It's no wonder the beaver chooses to surround itself with water and builds a dam to make sure there's enough. Water provides protection as well as an easy way to travel. As water backs up behind the dam, it brings the beaver's food supply within reach of the water. Raising the dam deepens the water and spreads it to new food sources as old ones are used.
Be on the lookout for a sighting of a BEAVER roaming out and about on the Reed Family Ranch!
Reed Family Fund - Striving for the Best in You! Can you question yourself to success? I think so. Ask yourself the below questions - and your three answers could put you on the path to your best year yet!
What are you grateful for right now?
Seeing the greater possibility of the future starts with knowing what's great about your life now!
What would you say if the five more important people in your life passed away and you were speaking at their funerals?
Tell them now!
What do you hope people will say about you after you're gone?
Live that life now!
