REED RANCH

At this point in time, there are several days of group deer hunting plus one day of youth deer hunting scheduled on the Reed Ranch during the months of October through January. The dates currently planned for the group deer hunts are:

October 9, 2004
Youth Doe Hunt October 23, 2004
December 4-5, 2004
December 18, 2004
January 8, 2005
January 22, 2005

All of these hunts are contingent on the issuance of the expected number of doe permits by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. Deposits ($50 nonrefundable) can be paid after these permits are issued by the TPWD. In previous years, the TPWD has attempted to have all these permits out to landowners prior to the end of September.

The number of deer taken by each hunter is limited to one per morning/evening hunt (for a total of two) and will be conducted in special zones on the ranch designated for group deer hunts.

Hunting access may include an overnight stay the day before the hunt and hunting the following day until sunset. Hunts are priced at $190 for doe only hunts. Youth (16 and under) may accompany an adult hunter at no additional charge.

At least three adult hunters must be signed up for a group deer hunt to take place and each youth must be accompanied by a paid adult hunter.
